Downloaded Fresh copy of WAM & made sure it was updated. Entered all necessary preferences.
Tried to upload an item (uhm...multiple times, so watch out, LOL), but got "Unknown Server Error"
What's Up?

I believe we have found the issue. It seems that our "check for program updates" module was actually updating to an older version for some reason. Evidently there was a recent update that was handled incorrectly. We have corrected this now, so new installs should go without any issues.
Checking for program updates could possibly resolve this issue for you. But we suggest uninstalling and reinstalling, to be sure there are no goofy settings left behind that cause you issues. You can backup your preferences and auctions from the current install, then backup to the new install (that way you do not loose any info).
To do this, select the "backup auctions" selection in the file menu. You will get a backup screen with "profile" and "auctions" already selected. Leave these selected if you wish to save both. Click the ... button to browse where to save the file (we recommend your desktop). Enter a name for your saved file into the file name box and click the save button.
Now uninstall the auction manager and reinstall the new program, which is located at: http://www.webidz.com/downloads/1.0.0.388.exe
After installing, you can restore your profile and auctions by selecting the "restore auctions" option from the file menu. You will get a similar backup screen with profile and auctions. Leave both checked and click the ... button to browse for the file you saved earlier. On the browse screen, you may need to change the file type to "all files" to be able to view the file you are looking for. Select the appropriate file, then click the restore button on the backup screen.
This should resolve these issues for you. If not, please let us know.

Ok, I'm back....
*ahem* Your link in the above post doesn't work. Uninstalled previous version and ran ccleaner. I downloaded from the usual area and matched the versions and it would appear to be the correct one.
Set my preferences and put in a new item. Sent it off and got the same error.

The reason the download link was not working is because there was a period after the link. I have removed the period, so the link now works.
You did download the correct software. I have found another issue regarding access properties on our secure side for this program. Please try to upload your auctions again, then let us know if the problem still persists.
You do not need to reinstall, as your software version should be fine now.

Just tried it again, no workie. Am I the only one experiencing this? Or the only one using the bulk lister?
I ask because I had forgotten I couldn't import a plain vanilla csv file. doh. I always forget that. And I can't preview a listing before sending it.
well...lemme know what you find out. Was hoping to include you as one of my Summer Solstice sites.

We acually got another report a few days ago... The error was a little different, but similar in nature. We thought it was an isolated incident, but it appears that it is not. We have tried from five different PC's, but cannot duplicate the issue... So we have been going through the program and the connection ports, trying to determine possible issues that would cause this.
Do you have current auctions on WeBidz? If so, are you able to update your inventory on the auction manager, via the file menu?
The preview and csv are updates we were not able to update in the current Delphi code, that is why we are moving to .NET technology.

Uhm....just tried to upload an item again via the bulk loader. I noticed there was a new version so I updated it. But when I tried to upload the item, I still got the error message.

And yes, I listed an item manually, then updated through the Auction Manager, and it came through.

Do you have a release date on the new lister?

I asked our current software developers about this issue... They think it is some sort of conflict with settings and/or operating system you are running. They do not work on nor support Delphi code, as it is outdated and has very limited capabilities. They also said there is not a debug module in the current software, so troubleshooting such an issue would be very time consuming... possibly impossibly if we are not able to duplicate the issues you are experiencing.
We fired the company that developed the original software, and have been providing small updates "inhouse". So it looks as if resolution for the current software may be something that we cannot handle, but we are still looking into it.
Do you have a different PC that you could use? That may be a temporary resolution until the new software is released. Regarding the release of the new software, I cannot provide a definitive date. If the company completes the project within the original estimation in the SOW, it should be within about 30 days. But we cannot guarantee any dates at this time.

Well, I'll have another pc to use as soon as I replace my monitor & transfer all my files *back* to my desktop from this laptop.
I'll start listing one at a time and we'll cross our fingers for the new one, K? No worries.
